Top 5 Worst Students Ever
My first narrative is a non-traditional one. I wrote about the top five worst students. I wanted to use satire to express the specific characterization in my writing. The list below is an opinion and should not be taken too seriously, it is just sarcasm expression. My thought process for this was based off of a non-traditional passage we read in class about the Top Five Worst Pets. I really liked the use of satire in that reading and wanted to incorporate it into my own writing.
Jazzy
Next is a traditional narrative. This narrative is a story about the time we had to put my dog down. It is a really sad memory that I wanted to write about and express my emotions through. I wanted to use detail to express to rather than just tell the reader the mood of the story. It took my a while to come up with a topic for this narrative, but once I did it was hard to stop writing.
Ding
Ding is my fictional piece that I wrote in this class. It is the first fictional piece I have ever done. I used the repetition of the onomatopoeia ding as a form of foreshadowing. The piece is primarily a first chapter, it leaves the reader in suspense at the very end of the passage. I wanted the characters to be mysterious, I didn't want the reader to know much right off the bat, but rather learn about the character throughout the progression of the story. Though it is not (by far) my best work I do like the literary devices I used in this piece, especially the onomatopoeia for foreshadowing.
